Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 26, 2026
This page explains what data Beevo handles, what we use it for, who we share it with, and how to
exercise your rights. It applies to the website (app.beevo.co) and to the iOS and Android apps. We
handle data in accordance with Colombia’s Law 1581 of 2012 and Decree 1377 of 2013 and, for people
in the European Union, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This is a translation of the
Spanish version; if they ever differ, the Spanish
version prevails.
1. Who is responsible
The data controller is Beevo. You can write to us about any privacy matter at
hola@beevo.co.
2. What data we handle
- Your account: name, email, password (stored encrypted, never in plain text), photo if you upload one, time zone, and language.
- Your business: name, legal name, tax ID, country, currency, and the billing details you enter.
- What you put into Beevo: clients and their contacts, projects, tasks, comments, files, whiteboards, appointments, invoices, and accounting entries. For your clients’ and collaborators’ data, you are the controller, and Beevo processes it on your behalf.
- Payments: your plan, its status, and a customer ID in Stripe, the App Store, or Google Play. We never see or store your card numbers: the payment provider collects and keeps them.
- If you connect other services: when you sign in with Google or Apple, your ID and email in that service; when you connect Google Calendar, the calendar events that sync (see section 4).
- Your phone: the identifier used to send you notifications (if you allow them) and the device type.
- Technical usage: IP address, browser, access dates, and error logs, to keep the service secure and running.
3. What we use it for
- Providing the service you sign up for: saving your work, showing it to whoever you choose, and syncing it between the website and the apps (performance of a contract).
- Charging for your plan and managing your subscription (performance of a contract and legal obligations).
- Sending you service emails and notifications: invitations, invoices, due dates, security (performance of a contract).
- Answering through Beevo AI when you ask it something (performance of a contract).
- Protecting the service, preventing abuse, and fixing errors (legitimate interest).
We don’t sell your data or use it for third-party advertising. We don’t use your content to
train artificial intelligence models.
4. Google data
If you connect your Google Calendar, Beevo asks for permission to see and edit the
events on your calendars (calendar.events). With that permission:
- We read your events to show them in Beevo’s calendar, next to your tasks and projects.
- We create, change, and delete in your Google Calendar the appointments you create, change, or delete in Beevo, so both calendars match.
- Events that come from Google are visible only to you: no one else in your workspace can see them, not even its admin.
- We store the access keys Google gives us encrypted. You can disconnect Google Calendar at any time from My profile: when you do, we delete the imported events and stop accessing your calendar. You can also revoke the permission from your Google account.
- If you ask Beevo AI for something, it may read your appointments to answer you; the model provider receives them only for that answer and doesn’t use them to train its models.
Beevo’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere
to the
Google API Services User Data Policy,
including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically: we use that data only to provide the calendar
features described here; we don’t sell it; we don’t use it for advertising or to assess
creditworthiness; we don’t use it to train general artificial intelligence models; and no one at
Beevo reads it unless you give us explicit permission, it’s needed for security, or the law
requires it.
5. Who we share it with
Only with the providers we need to run the service, who process the data on our behalf and are
bound by confidentiality and security obligations:
- Heroku (Salesforce) — hosting for the app and the database.
- Amazon Web Services — file storage.
- Cloudflare — network and attack protection.
- Stripe — payments on the website.
- Apple (App Store) and Google (Google Play) — payments in the apps; RevenueCat — management of those subscriptions.
- Apple and Google — sign-in with their accounts, phone notifications (APNs and Firebase Cloud Messaging), and, if you connect it, Google Calendar.
- Anthropic — provider of the artificial intelligence model behind Beevo AI; it receives what you write to the assistant and what the assistant needs to read to answer, with no financial data.
- Mailgun — sending service emails.
We will also share data if the law or a competent authority requires it.
6. International transfers
Several of these providers store data outside Colombia and the European Union, mainly in the
United States. We do this with providers that offer adequate safeguards (for example, standard
contractual clauses), and by accepting this policy you authorize that transfer.
7. How long we keep it
For as long as you have an account. If you delete it, we erase your data within a reasonable
time, except what the law requires us to keep (for example, payment records) and backups, which are
overwritten automatically over time.
8. Your rights
You can access, update, and correct your data; ask for it to be deleted; withdraw your
authorization; request a copy; and object to its processing. You can do almost all of this yourself
from My profile and Your business. For anything else —including deleting your account— write to us
at hola@beevo.co and we’ll reply within the legal deadlines (in
Colombia, 10 business days for inquiries and 15 for complaints). If you’re not satisfied, you can
contact Colombia’s Superintendence of Industry and Commerce or the data protection authority in your
country.
9. Security
We use encrypted connections, encrypted passwords, role-based permissions within each workspace,
and encrypted access keys for connected services. No system is foolproof: if we detect an incident
that affects your data, we’ll let you know.
10. Minors
Beevo is a professional tool and is not intended for anyone under 18. We don’t knowingly collect
data from minors.
11. Cookies
The website uses only the cookies needed to keep you signed in and to remember preferences such
as light or dark theme or a collapsed sidebar. We don’t use advertising cookies.
12. Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll publish the new version with its date and, if the change is
significant, we’ll let you know beforehand.
